Expressions of interest are welcome for our Biomedical Engineering Internship Program. We generally accept Masters students but may consider outstanding undergraduate students toward the end of their degree. Interns typically spend 3 months on a research project and have opportunities to experience first hand the interface between bioengineering research and clinical studies involving cardiovascular technology. University of Melbourne Masters-level interns may earn 25 points towards their degree by enrolling in the Internship subject (ENGR90033).
We have a number of exciting PhD projects available for outstanding domestic or international students. These projects may also be considered for a Masters by Research.
- Cuffless blood pressure monitoring for children and adolescents.
- Modelling normal and pathological cardiovascular development from cradle to grave.
- Modelling cardiovascular dynamics during the birth transition in normal and at-risk babies
